Fight for Sight Project Grants

Fight for Sight is keen to support original and ground breaking research into eye disease. Project Grants of up to £170,000 are available to non-clinician scientists and qualified clinicians wishing to undertake research in all fields of ophthalmic research relevant to the Charity’s aims. In this scheme we plan to award at least one Project Grant for a clinical study where the project outcome will have an identifiable clinical benefit for people with eye disease.

A Fight for Sight Project Grant is a highly prestigious award made on a fully competitive and peer reviewed basis allowing a rigorous, fair and transparent selection process. In 2011 Fight for Sight 6 Project Grants were awarded out of 28 full applications received.

Fight for Sight is a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) and complies with its guidelines for best practice.  Fight for Sight passed the AMRC’s 2011 Peer Review Audit.
