Make a donation

In the UK alone, 100 people start to lose their sight every day. Your donation will help – however much and whichever way you choose to give.

We rely entirely on donations from our supporters to fund vital research into blindness and eye disease.

Donate though CAF (Charities Aid Foundation)

Donate shares

If you own shares that you no longer want they could be given to benefit charities across the UK. Just owning shares can be a nuisance – the paperwork for them can easily pile up while selling them can cost you more than they are actually worth.

ShareGift (charity registration no: 1052686) can put such shares to valuable use. Donated shares are collected, aggregated and sold. The money is then donated to charities including Fight for Sight.

ShareGift's work can be of enormous benefit to Fight for Sight. Giving shares is also a very tax efficient way of donating to charity because they will be exempt from Capital Gains Tax. You may also be able to claim income tax relief on the value of your donation.

To donate shares simply download the ShareGift donation form, attach your share certificate(s) and return to ShareGift (address on form). ShareGift will then send the relevant transfer form to you, which you will need to sign and return to ShareGift to complete your donation.

Make your donation worth more

If you are a UK taxpayer - and this can include many people on a pension - you can increase the value of your donation by 28% simply by completing a Gift Aid declaration. This means that Fight for Sight can claim back the tax you pay on your donation. Find out more about Gift Aid
