Awareness of eye conditions in Parliament is low, and we want to change that. We have partnered with pharmaceutical company Roche and the Macular Society to organise an event in Parliament on 19th October, which will encourage Parliamentarians to take action to improve the lives of people living with sight loss.

We want you to help push eye health up the political agenda by inviting your MP to attend. Parliamentarians are more likely to attend if they are encouraged to do so by their constituents. You can invite your MP by following the instructions below.

How to write to your MP

You can find out who your local MP is by visiting this link and putting in your postcode: https://members.parliament.uk/FindYourMP

Once you know who your MP is, you can use the following directory to search for them and find their email address. Just type in their name and click on their icon when it appears, and you will reach a page with their contact information: https://members.parliament.uk/members/Commons

It is easiest to email your MP. Remember: always include your own address when you write to your MP so that they will know you live in their constituency.

We’ve created some suggested text to make it easy to invite your MP!
