Restaurant customers raise funds for eye research

Fight for Sight teamed up with the famous French restaurant, Orrery, in London’s fashionable Marylebone, the collaboration saw diners raise nearly £700 for vital eye research.

During the promotion the restaurant pledged to support the charity, which funds pioneering eye research to prevent sight loss and treat eye disease, by adding a voluntary donation to each customer’s bill for an entire month. This is the third consecutive year the restaurant has supported Fight for Sight with a fundraising campaign. It has proved food for thought for customers, as over the years they’ve collectively raised over £2,000.

Catherine Woodhead, Director of Fundraising at Fight for Sight said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Orrery for partnering with us and to their generous customers for their kind donations. We really couldn’t fund pioneering eye research without the support of the public and this promotion gives us an extra opportunity to raise awareness with the diners. Thank you once again to everyone who contributed and helped the fight against sight loss.”
