We have many requests for Seeing Dogs which we are unable to fulfil at present. We currently provide around 4 to 6 dogs per year and keep our waiting lists minimal to manage capacity. We need to build capacity to be in a psition to train at least 12 dogs per year within the next five years.
We are currently working towards creating paid positions for an Executive Director/CEO and possibly paid administrative staff to manage the day to day work currently carried out by volunteers. To do this, we need to raise our profile as a charitable organisation with a buoyant media and communications campaign and to embed a sustainable strategy to generate consistent income. To do this, we want to work with organisations with expertise such as NCVO, NPC or Caf to understand the current fundraising climate and develop a meaningful strategy and develop a five year plan for income generation and raising our media profile.
The requested funds will cover costs of expertise and utilise the services of a paid administrator for around 80 hours to support us to organise and log meetings and prepare reports for volunteers and trustees.
