Donate your preloved items
From blouses to bric-a-brac, jewellery to Jenga – turn your pre-loved fashion, homewares and furniture into funding for life-changing research and projects.
We have charity shops across London and the southeast that are helping us put change in sight for people living with vision loss. We also have eBay, Depop and Vestiaire Collective online shops offering designer, vintage and collectables to shoppers who are further afield.
But its donations from our supporters that help these shops to Save Sight. Change Lives. Want to be part of our Fight for Sight and clear out pre-loved items while you're at it? Here's how...

Our Home Collections service...
Have more to donate than you can carry? Or find it tricky to drive to - or park near - one of our charity shops? Get in touch to book a free Home Collection and our van will come to you!
Areas covered... Our free Home Collection service currently operates within a 5-mile radius of our London shops, including but not limited to Camden, Hackney, Islington, Southwark, Lewisham, Wandsworth, Haringey, Tower Hamlets, Westminster, Lambeth, Brent, Barnet and beyond.
Timeframe for collections... The Home Collection service operates Monday to Friday between 10am and 5pm. We can usually collect within 7–10 days of an enquiry, though this can vary depending on your location and the size of your donation.
Minimum requirements... We'll happily put in the effort and the fuel but this service is ideally for larger donations. Home Collections are for a minimum of 2–3 bags of good-quality stock, or the equivalent in furniture, electricals or homewares. It can be a good idea to work together with friends or neighbours to amass donations as a group in your area!
Don't forget to Gift Aid it!
Every item you donate to our charity shops will help us raise money to Save Sight. Change Lives. But the magic of Gift Aid has the power to supercharge your donation and give us an 25% of the amount raised.
If you're a UK taxpayer, ensure your donation is boosted by Gift Aid, by speaking to a member of the team in the shop where you drop your donations.

How can I donate to Fight for Sight charity shops?
On the high street
We have 14 shops across London and the Southeast taking donations of men's and ladies fashion, homewares, bric-a-brac, small items of furniture, books and media. We know how frustrating it an be to go to the effort to taking donations to a charity shop only to be turned away, so we'll always accept your donations.
Please be aware that if we have to dispose of any donations rather than sell them, there's a cost attached, which takes money away from funding the work we support.

What can I donate to Fight for Sight?
We gratefully accept good-quality items that can be resold, and in the process we're proud to be reducing the amount we all put into landfill. Anything we can’t sell is recycled or reused wherever possible, so we're extending the life of products and materials, and reducing waste. We'd love any good-quality donations of:

- Homewares
- Books
- Bric-a-brac
- Media
- Furniture
- Electricals
PLEASE ENSURE: All donations are complete, safe to sell and all upholstered items have fire safety labels attached (a legal requirement). A good rule of thumb is to only donate items you'd be happy to buy yourself

Why should I donate to Fight for Sight?
Fight for Sight is a funder. We invest in scientific research to help save sight and social change research to help change lives. So when you donate to us, we’ll make sure that donation works hard to do two things: Helping us better understand, prevent, diagnose and treat vision loss. Ensuring people living with vision loss get the same opportunities as everyone else.
Did you know the average bag of donations is worth £50 to us? To put that into perspective:
- £50 could help us make existing domestic abuse services accessible for blind and partially sighted people, including websites and refuges.
- £50 could help pay for a volunteer to make befriending phone calls to five blind or partially sighted people experiencing loneliness.
- £50 could provide sensory and developmental toys for children experiencing sight loss.
-
- 36 million tonnes
- of landfill saved, thanks to your donations
-
- 25%
- is added to your donation with Gift Aid at no extra cost to you
