Convene. Connect. Collaborate.
Vis-Ability continues to grow as a unique conference bringing together blind and vision impaired (VI) leaders alongside senior figures from business, government, research and the charity sector.
It is designed for those who want to convene, connect, collaborate.

Should I attend Vis-Ability?
If you want to help create a more inclusive future for blind and vision impaired people, Vis-Ability 2027 is for you.
You might be a blind or vision impaired leader, an accessibility or inclusion professional, a policymaker, researcher, healthcare professional, technology or business leader, charity professional, employer or someone working in the wider sight loss sector.
You don’t need to work in the sight loss sector to attend. Vis-Ability brings together people from different industries and backgrounds because many of the challenges facing blind and vision impaired people - from accessing healthcare and technology to finding and thriving in employment - cannot be solved by one sector alone.
Whether you want to learn from people with lived experience, share your expertise, make new connections or explore opportunities to collaborate, Vis-Ability offers a space to listen, contribute and help shape what comes next.

What's discussed at Vis-Ability?
Vis-Ability explores the issues shaping the future for blind and vision impaired people - from accessibility and inclusion to technology, employment, and eye health.
Each year, the programme responds to the opportunities and challenges that matter most. Recent discussions have explored how AI and emerging technology can be designed inclusively, how employers can remove barriers and unlock the talent of blind and vision impaired people, and how innovation and research can improve eye health and care.
Alongside the big-picture conversations, Vis-Ability creates space to explore practical questions: What needs to change? Who needs to be involved? And how can we turn good ideas into meaningful action?
The programme brings together different perspectives, including lived experience, research, policy, business, healthcare and technology, to challenge assumptions and explore solutions together.

Who might I meet and network with?
Vis-Ability brings together people who don’t always have the opportunity to be in the same room.
You might meet blind and vision impaired leaders, accessibility and inclusion specialists, business and technology leaders, employers, policymakers, MPs and other public figures, researchers, clinicians and healthcare professionals, charity and sight loss leaders, innovators and people with lived experience.
Delegates come from a range of sectors, including financial services, technology, healthcare, research, government, business and the voluntary sector.
The diversity of the audience is one of Vis-Ability's strengths. Bringing different perspectives together can spark new ideas, challenge assumptions and create opportunities for collaboration that might not happen elsewhere.
Whether you're looking for a new professional connection, a potential partner, a different perspective or simply the chance to meet others working to create change, there are plenty of opportunities to connect.
