How to ensure your loved one's gift reaches us safely.
If you're an executor or solicitor carrying out the wishes of someone who has kindly included a gift in their will to Fight for Sight, thank you in advance for your time and assistance.
On this page you’ll find guidance on contacting us, what information we’ll need, how to make a payment, and how we can support you throughout the estate administration process.
We know administering an estate takes time and care, often while you are grieving, and we want to help as much as possible.
Tell us about the gift
Please contact us with the person’s full name, last address, and date of death, together with your name, contact details, and role in administering the estate. If you have details of the gift, please include those too.
Which documents will you need?
Depending on the gift, we may ask for copies of the will and the grant of probate or equivalent document when available. Please send copies rather than originals.
If Fight for Sight receives a share of the estate, we may also need information about its assets and liabilities and the estate accounts showing how the gift has been calculated.
What if the will uses a prior charity name?
If the will names Vision Foundation or another earlier charity name, please send us the exact charity name, number, and wording. We can help establish the correct recipient. Please also contact us if the gift has conditions or is intended for a particular purpose.
When and how should I pay the gift?
We understand that estates can take time to settle. Please keep us informed of significant developments and an estimated payment date when one is available.
Contact us for payment details and a reference. Before making a bank transfer, verify the details by calling us on 020 7620 2066. If you prefer to send a cheque, we can confirm the payee and postal address. We will acknowledge it and can discuss any formal receipt or discharge you need for your records.
