    • Learn to identify valuable vintage pieces
    • Develop visual merchandising skills
    • Build customer service experience
    • Train to use an EPOS system; till training is an incredibly transferable skill for people wanting to work in any retail capacity.

    • Train on safeguarding, which is really valuable for understanding how organisations look after each other.
    • Benefit from online training in subjects like IT, retail and management skills, which we’re offering as part of our volunteering roles.

Duke of Edinburgh volunteers welcome!

We love hosting young people for the volunteering section of their Duke of Edinburgh Award at our Portobello Road shop. Volunteering at a Fight for Sight charity shop like this one on Portobello Road will help young people to:

If you're looking to volunteer as part of a Duke of Edinburgh award or for school-related work-experience, you can volunteer with us from the age of 14 (outside those channels the minimum age for volunteers is 16).
