The training opportunities we offer in our Portobello Road shop will impress prospective employers and we offer references to our volunteers too. Our volunteering roles enable people to:

• Learn to process donations (invaluable to anyone looking to work with second-hand fashion)
• Learn to identify valuable vintage pieces
• Develop visual merchandising skills
• Build customer service experience
• Train to use an EPOS system; till training is an incredibly transferable skill for people wanting to work in any retail capacity.
• Understand Gift Aid, which an increasing number of charities are signed up to.
• Train on safeguarding, which is really valuable for understanding how organisations look after each other.
• Benefit from online training in subjects like IT, retail and management skills, which we’re offering as part of our volunteering roles.

Our Portobello team are a social lot, and the volunteers who work for our shops (we have 14 shops across London) love that being in our charity shops helps them to:
