We were very sorry to hear that long-time supporter Eric Snook passed away earlier this week aged 95. Eric was a passionate supporter of Fight for Sight, the UK’s main eye research charity, over many years.

As former Bath mayor, long-standing councillor and stalwart of the city's business community he also found the time to campaign for the fight against sight loss. Eric led Fight for Sight’s Bath committee and rallied the Bath community to raise vital funds for eye research.

Michele Acton Fight for Sight’s Chief Executive said: “We will greatly miss Eric, who contributed so much to Fight for Sight over so many years. We’re really grateful for all that he has done and we will miss his sense of fun, enthusiasm and commitment to raise the profile of much needed eye research."
