Media & spokespeople
The media team can provide up-to-date news, information and statistics on eye research and eye conditions, as well as providing comment and expertise on topical issues in eye research.
Contact the team if you would like to arrange interviews with:
- the Fight for Sight research team
- researchers or scientists who are leaders in their field, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, inherited eye conditions, and sight loss linked to other conditions (e.g. diabetic retinopathy)
- people with sight loss and their families who can share their personal experiences.
In addition we run a Speaker’s Network of leading academics and researchers in eye research. We can provide speakers for events and conferences on request.
We also coordinate speaking opportunities for the Women in Vision network. We can put you in contact with members of the network who can share their expertise.

Dr Neha Issar-Brown
Director of Research, Policy and Innovation
Neha has over 15 years of experience across the medical research, funding and policy sectors with a broad skill base gained within private, public and non-profit organisations in India, Germany, France and the UK. Most recently she headed the Population Health and Medicine portfolio for the UK Research and Innovation's (UKRI), Medical Research Council (MRC). Prior to that Neha worked at the Royal Society, where she spearheaded the early-career skills and training schemes and also managed the Society's immigration portfolio, leading on consultations with the Home Office on the UK’s policy for STEM researchers.
