MasterChef winner hosts exclusive dinner

Chef, Steven Edwards, will host an exclusive culinary and sensory experience as he joins the fight against sight loss and supports the UK’s main eye research charity, Fight for Sight.

Steven, won the sixth series of MasterChef: The Professionals in 2013, becoming one of the youngest ever winners of the competition at the age of 26. He will serve a six course tasting menu on Thursday 4 February 2016.

The event, to be held at Printworks Kitchen, Clerkenwell, London, will give guests the opportunity to challenge their senses as they dine on his MasterChef-themed menu. Don’t miss the opportunity to try Steven’s ingredients challenge and blindfold tasting to help raise awareness of sight loss.

Steven, who has trained and worked with some of the country’s leading chefs including; Raymond Blanc, Chris Wheeler and Matt Gillan set up his own company, called etch. in 2014. He said:"As a chef your sight is essential, as it's all about the attention to detail. I couldn't imagine losing my sight. Eye research is important in helping create a future everyone can see. I’m looking forward to cooking for this special evening for Fight for Sight. Book your place for our pop up and join the fight against sight loss.”

This event follows on from the charity’s Feast Your Eyes event, which ran 16-22 October 2015 and called on the public to host an event in the dark.

Catherine Woodhead, Director of Fundraising at Fight for Sight, said: “Thanks to Steven for supporting Fight for Sight. This is a fantastic opportunity and a great way of raising the importance of eye research and the need for more funding, so that Fight for Sight is able to continue to fund pioneering eye research and put a stop to sight loss.”

Spaces to this exclusive event are limited so don’t delay in booking and help create a future everyone can see. Tickets cost £85 for the six course tasting menu and wine.
